    Knifemaking Lesson

This past weekend I had the opportunity to teach a student a little knifemaking/bladesmithing. A good time was had by all. Plus check out how well he did (Especially considering this weekend was his first time at the forge or grinder!)

Very nice looking blade. I wish my first had looked anywhere near as nice.

It sounds as though you had a good time sharing your gift. Sometimes the things we enjoy most, are best when shared with others.

Murph, my first attempts many years back were pretty bad. It wasn't until several years later after discovering the forums and books and eventually finding someone to show me how it's done (Tom Krein, Dan Koster) that I made anything remotely functional.

Lagrange, I had quite a bit of fun. Teaching can be quite rewarding when the student is excited to learn.
