New Pine Cone Scales, "Ice Age Mosaic", Banksia Pods, and "Stix"

    New From
    Ankrom Exotics

    PINE CONE KNIFE SCALES

We developed these scales last spring and introduced them at "Blade Show" in June. They have proven to be immensely popular with makers telling us that they can't keep knives on their tables. One maker has used more than 30 sets of these scales since June and keeps coming back for more.

    Knives by Larry Pridgen

Pine Cone Scales are made from Norway Spruce Pine Cones that have been carefully cast in a durable Urethane resin. They measure approx. 3/8" x 1 1/2" x 5" each scale.

    Scales are $40 per set.

To Purchase please reply to this thread and reference the item number(s) included in the photo. We will contact you via PM with payment instructions.

    PC-6, PC-7, & PC-8 Pearl White

    PC-10, PC-11, & PC-12 Silver/Gray

    "STIX"

Another new product that we introduced this summer, this time at the "A.G. Russell Knife Event" in Rogers, Arkansas. These blocks consist of dyed and stabilized tree branch segments that are meticulously laid out in a mold and cast in Urethane resin. I have seen finished knives and they look great, unfortunately I don't have any photos to share at this time.

    These blocks are $50 each and measure approx. 1" x 1 1/2" x 4 3/4"

    Banksia Pod Scales

Banksia Pod handled Bowie by Billy Helton

Banksia Pods are a seed pod found mainly in Australia. They have great figure and are filled with holes that make them perfect candidates for casting in Urethane resins. The resulting slabs are very unique and quite eye catching.

    Banksia Pod Scales are $50 per set and measure approx. 5/16" x 1 1/2" x 5 1/4"

    "Ice Age Mosaic"
    Knife Scales

Pieces of Woolly Mammoth Ivory that have been cast in durable Urethane resin.

    Scales are $50 per set and measure approx. 3/8" x 1 9/16" x 5" each

Shipping will be by USPS flat rate envelope and appropriate shipping charges will be added to all orders

Thank you for looking and as always.....

    Best Regards,

Is the pine cone material fully saturated or is it suspended in the resin ?

    Thanks,

The Pine Cone material is encapsulated in Urethane resin. It does not saturate the cone.
