I haven't done much of knifemaking the last couple of months. Not after the hurry of doing the wedding gift (http://knifedogs.com/showthread.php?9920-My-first-knife-from-scratch)
Spend my time with the dog and loosing weight this summer instead. So far i lost 23kg :)
Anyway, the other day...
My first knife from scratch [with better pictures]
First i thought the idea of making a weddinggift was a good.
After a while I realized the time could be a issue. 1.5 week for my first knife incl. the blade.
And then it had to be so good that it should suit as a wedding gift.
BUT It...
Finally I got the wheels the other day.
It was pretty hard to get all inline but after a few hours it work out great.
Now i have a 12" contact wheel, a platen and a small wheel attachment.
Its works great and I love the frequence inverter. It makes the grinder to stop in a sec...
It seems that the wheels to my grinder never gets done.
So i spend the evening to build a etching machine. :D
Right now its 12v output. But I have a 24v transformator inside. Is it possible to but a potentiometer on it?
Does anyone have a tip on what i should use? what kind of K-ohm...
Can't wait to start trying my designs on steel. I still wait för the wheels for my new (only) grinder to come. The guy who makes the for me was suppose to be finished with them 2 weeks ago.
I guess he has alot to do :(
Then i wait a shipment from Tracy aswell. A contact wheel and some belts...
Haha! I love it!
When I was going to start my company (i'm a carpenter)
I was thinking of name it "Snyggare byggare" which means "more handsome builders" Sounds better in swedish when it rimes. 2thumbs
