Its been years since one of my cows had a calf and I was around when it happened. This was a pretty small cow and it got pregnant at an early age. I thought for sure I was going to have to help deliver the calf but she did it on its own. The calf is just minutes old when I took these pictures.

This is what the baby was after. It still needs to zero in but its in the ball park.

Eli, I really didn't get to watch it come out. I just got there minutes after it showed up on its own. I'd gone home to get a rope and a pole and by the time I got there the baby calf was on the ground.

Cool mate,
That brings back memories. Im originally from a dairy then beef farming background and can certainly relate to the rope and the tree. Theyre a healthly looking pair, thats for sure.

Sent you a parcel 2 weeks ago:cool: Im sure you will let me know when ya get it.

Cheers Bruce

Bruce, I have just gone the beef route. No milking for me. The beef cows are pretty easy.

As far as the package goes it just showed up today! Thanks a bunch! I'm looking forward to trying this exotic wood from Down Under!
