Finish on Micarta?

I was wondering if there are any oils/ waxes or polish that you guys would recommend to keep the micarta from getting scuffed up and stained.

Micarta usually isn't porous. What's staining it?

It's a light tan color so it seems to hold the color of anything darker that touches it. Black sandpaper or if any wd-40 slips from the blade to the handle. http://knifedogs.com/picture.php?albumid=157&pictureid=1577

I'd say wipe the entire thing down with WD40 or Danish oil. The exposed thread ends tend to pick up stains.
