I just finished this one up last night.

The handle is Black Walnut(one of my favorites and this piece turned out especially nice I thought), fittings are wrought iron and the blade is grade 60 Raybar. :D The blade is 6-1/2" and the whole thing is 11-1/2"

Peter, you really excelled on this one. Very, very nice. It clearly shows the classic lines that Ray taught you. You have come a long, long way in a very brief time. Congratulations!

Very good looker Peter! I'm a big fan of figured black walnut, esp. burl and swirly stump pieces, and that is one nice piece. It got me named "Stump Miner" in these parts. Left a 13ft.x 3ft hole at that one.cool 1

I got a bunch of black walnut from my neighbor. I'm going to do a stock for my Winchester 300 out of it one of these days....
