I wouldn't go so far as to say my Cad-fu is strong, but I'm getting there.

Been wondering what an FM-1 with a thumb ramp would look like. What do you think? 2thumbs

The drawing is great but I'm really not fan of thumb ramps with grooves, it hurts more than it helps IMHO.

Hey man, I know what you mean. I try to take enough off of them to makes them kinda grippy without ripping off skin and generally being a pain.

When I was doing my field research last year, I ran into some stuff than made me wish that I had this model. I was using a regular FM-1 to cut up some Mango and Pineapple to mix with the rum and that mango juice is pretty slippery!cool 1

I am not so much worried about blood and guts on a knife but the "mango Factor" must not be over looked!

I see your Cad fu is growing but a working model would be stronger. Then you will be the master of FM-1 fu.2thumbs

Hey Les... Looks like you let an FM-1 and a Rockeye get busy!

The little one looks good though.

I kinda like the FM-1 the way it is...

Man, you never know what will happen when you save all the file in the same folder and turn out the lights... :)

The thumb ramp makes it more like a folding version of my Model 2 Fixed blade and the Rockeye is a folding model 1

I'm not gonna stop making the FM-1 the way it is, I am gonna make this new one as a separate model and see how it goes. Of course I am gonna have to carry one around for a while and that works out since I don't have one of mine anymore... :(

I just have to figure an name for the new model... I just need to flip though some of my ordnance books. Let's see here....:)

That's the good way to proceed IMHO. I really dig the thumbs ramps Charles Marlowe is putting on his folders.

I lime thumbramps and think the FM-1 looks great with it! That's how I'll want mine:)

I got a bug today looking at old stuff.... For some reason the OSS Lapel Dagger has always fascinated me, but I never messed with it.... I think I will now! :)
