Rob, I have the Dart 250 controller and 1 1/2 hp DC motor. The motor has two black wires and two white wires coming out of it. I hope they are compatible????

Hi George, It looks good to me. The controller will need to run on 220V in order to fully power that 180VDC motor.

Yep...I can understand that.

As far as DC motors go...they basically come in 2 voltages: 90 and 180.

The reason is that when you take 110V AC and rectify it to DC volts....the 110AC becomes about 90 DC. And the similiarly....220 VAC becomes about 180VDC.

These controllers are just rectifiers with some fancy control stuff on them.

You might have some luck running it from 110V AC.....but your 180V motor will only see 90V at best....which will make it run 1/2 speed and 1/2 power.

I do not know if my controller can go to 220v.huh1huh1
