bill i shoot a 260 grn.HP 1900 fps. flat shooting at 135yrds not bad on the kick like a 41 mag. now when you put 500 grn.load thats a kick. also i can shoot a 45acp,45 long colt and a 45 schofield out of the same gun,45acp is like shooting a 22 from this gun.

That S&W is actually the first gun I ever bought... I was 17 and I bought it from a teacher at school, no kidding! It was a different time, I guess... :(
