Fred, nice video. Better than the first and I see that you are now clearer about the what the basic bubble jig and the complete system includes. Even I can understand now. Good work. Let's see it is now a little over 2 months before I am going to come there for a personal demonstration.

I received one of these a couple of weeks ago and I would highly recommend it. Helped my crappy grinding a lot.

This jig is well worth the investment when you see your final results. I used mine for about 6 blades and put it aside for a few more grinds but didn't take me long to go back to using it.

I already use the bubble jig and think it's fantastic...how much for just the grinding clamp?

Fred Rowe

Chall,

The clamps are 40.00 plus 4.95 to ship. They are made using 01 steel hardened to 62 HRC.

Sorry for the slow response, Fred

We are building a one hp dc horizontal variable speed/reversible disc grinder to do some sharpening projects using the Bubble Jig.
Its a great grinder set up. Any thing from small shears to brush hog blades can be sharpened using this set up.
We are putting together a video to demonstrate the ease of sharpening edged tools using this set up.

We should have both the machine and the video finished by the first of April.
Please check it out when its posted on line. I think you will be surprised.

Regards, Fred

Thanks for the post. The jig is not a miracle worker but it is an excellent teacher. I think you will find over the next couple of months that your grinds will improve dramatically. If I can be of any service don't hesitate to contact me.

Happy grinding , Fred

My wife gave me a Bubble Jig for my birthday last week, which is a story in and of itself, but this thing is amazing! I've started (pre-HT) 2 knives with it, a full flat and a scandi, sharpened a bunch of things, even used it to clean up the profile to make sure it was square! Couldn't be happier - and I can already tell I'm learning alot just by using it. Thanks Fred!

Rob,

Thanks for your post Rob! There is no better success than a satisfied customer.

You have had a chance to use this tool for a while now and have found that it is not magic. But it does make magic possible. I found it to be very demanding; in other words using the Bubble Jig requires you to get better at grinding blades. When that happens your whole "game" improves.

Keep them coming, Fred

Hi Fred,

I received my Bubble-Jig setup today and tried it out briefly tonight. I must say I can see where it's going to make a big difference. I didn't realize how 'small' 5 degrees is. Definitely making things flatter. I can see it's going to take practice to get things on the money but not much. I great addition to my tool box.

Thanks

You are welcome. I agree, the Bubble Jig is the best kind of teacher; doesn't take any time off and doesn't talk much.
