some of you want big knives (!)

Sometimes you can please everyone.....

I laid out a small and large version. The large has a 5 inch blade and the small has a 3.25 inch blade. These are just thin micarta patterns that I made by sizing the patterns proportionally but I plan to have some of each size at the Vegas show in January.

Thanks for looking, let me know what you think of the sizes!

I can see where some folks just need a nice ,handy ,blade thats comfy to wear with anything,.. thats the small one,.. And I personally like a bigger one for more hand grip and control,.. mid size(8 1/2-9 1/2 open, usually considered large)
And for deployment, fire, swat, police service work, or just for sh*ts and grins- the monster is very cool as well.

I'll prob pick up one of the mid sized ones again sooner or later,.. both quality and style of the previous styles as well as the new RockEye fit my idea of a great carry blade.

The best size of folder blade should not be more than 4". The best size of fixed blade shouldn't less than 5". Just my subjective opinion. Best regards.

I am very curious as to what you base this statement on. How could there be an all encompassing size limit for knives? Wouldn't it depend greatly on what you plan on using it for?

Les, thanks for the info. I plan on being there.

Hello Les.
With the fine quality and great styling you put into your folders all sizes will be popular and be in demand comparable to who likes what is their pick. I think that 3 1/4" sze will be a good seller. Frank

Like all three sizes. Les to me it looks like you have found a size for everyones taste. But I would like one with the orange g10. But that is just me. Can't wait to see all three sizes complete.

Yes it depends, but why would you need 5" folder in a pocket. Get yourself fixed one.2thumbs

I guess it all depends on how/where/why you would use any knife.

The right tool for the right job.

For me a big honkin' folder fits the bill. Pun intended :)

In all Seriousness (yes I can if I want to be) Riba is right in that 99% of the time you dont need anything more than that.

It's just not always about need with me! :)

Thanks Les. I truly believe that FM-1, Hydra R and of course your new Rockeye are perfectly balanced knives. I hope you still have me on your list for Hydra R!? Here are my two amazing knives. Best regards,Eugene.2thumbs

I am down for one of you basic FM-1's when you get caught up. Maybe I will be able to afford all the bells and whistles in another year of saving.
