Profiling made simple. 3/16 1095 + water + abrasive particles + 40,000 psi = a Model-1 2G blade blank. Thanks to two Texas Patriots, 21 of these will deploy with Marines later this year.

I was just thinking about something like that yesterday. I was profiling a blade and thought how much nicer it would be to have them pre-cut like this.
I would expect it to be pricey...and therefore prohibitive for me, but the idea is very cool. I'd also love to have a few of the blanks that are left over to hang in my shop.

Final profiled, stamped, straightened, holes chamfered and started on the thumb ramp jimping. If my math is correct, ~800 more file strokes and the jimping will be squared away. Making a single Model-1 is simple but making a Model-1 in batches of 21 is even easier!
