I thinking on cut some small axes in 1075. How do i Ht it best.

According to my info, Heat to 1500 °F (815 °C). Oil quench sections under 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) thick (I would suggest a fast oil quench for an axe). Depending on you desired hardness, the tempering temperature will be between 400-450 °F (204-232 °C). For an axe, I would go with tempering around 425 °F, maybe a bit hotter.

Thank you :D It wasnt so high temp, but as you say the ax dont need to so hard. I think i will go with around 54 HRC.
