These are from a project I have been working on for over a year and I am just now starting to get some done. I wanted to try a proto type run on some mid tech fixed blades. I created a design knife. Dave at GreatLakes Waterjet copied the blade and cut out some blanks in S30v. I had the Micarta handles copied into 3D cad and then 2 colors of Canvas Micarta CNC’d. I used a connector system that allows a handle to be changed from one color to another. I started to grind some of the blanks and couldn’t get them done. I sent some of them to Eddie White of Shadow Knives to grind. I send them to Paul Bos for heat treat. They came back to me and I worked on clean up. I sent one off to Dwayne at Armorall Leather to get some leather sheaths made. He sent me back 4 total. 3 pouch and 1 fancy one.

I call this Pit Bull 5 or PB-5.

These are S30V steel. The blade is 5” and the OAL is 9 ¼”

I bead/sand blasted these for the finish. The bead/AO is mixed to give a slightly smoother finish than pure sand blasting.

A couple of these I stenciled. The others are sterile.

First up:
A flat grind with black canvas and pouch sheath. Sterile.
$225

I talked to Tom Krien today. Nice guy. It seems he calls his knife company K9 knives. He had a few people let him know I had put out this mid-tech line with a similar name. I'd just as soon not get in his way and create any issues so I am changing this line name to something else so there is no confusion. I wish Tom the best with his knives. Stop by his web site and have a look: http://www.kreinknives.net/home.htm

I enjoyed our visit today Tom. Call any time.
