Besides worrying about my daughter and her family in Tokyo we had a heck of a wind storm yesterday afternoon that brought down several trees that landed on the cattle fence which in turn created a roundup and then tree removal yesterday and today. I was able to get this knife ready to epoxy. I'll take a closer look at it before I do that after I get rested up some. Forgot to mention I used 1084 that I purchased from Aldo in 2007. I think that was the first batch he had made.

Geesh, sounds like you've got your hands full Ray! Never a dull moment. Be careful bucking up those trees.

Is this the knife you were going to trim the handle a bit sorter on? Looks like you got er done. I dig that sheath. They're getting cooler and cooler. For a minute there I thought you were having your sheath forms echo the blade's hamon lines. Might be a cool idea to try someday?!

All the best!!!

Another beauty Ray! It looks so organic and mean I think it would end any fight before it began. :) I love the handle too, that's really intriguing and makes me want to grab it. That's the only downside to photos - can't grab the knife when I want to. That one's special and it's good to see you making big knives again! Awesome.

Phil, Yes this is the knife that I had to shorten the handle some, about 1/2" less that when I first put it together. Right now the overall length of the knife is just over 15". I finished it up this morning.

Awesome blade Ray!

Sorry to hear about the difficulties with the windstorm, but glad everyone is ok :)

Beautiful hamon Ray, I really like the sheath. At 15", doesn't that fall into your small knife category ?
