Yea the three phase motor and VFD you sold me are the Ticket. I also like how much quieter it is vs when it was a fixed speed grinder.
And the fact this motor/vfd run off of 120v means I can take it to Demos.

Jamie
Thanks man, it really does make the grinder more versatile.

Very Nice , Does the one at your site tilt 90 degrees ? or is that an extra option , of course I could be blind . Or can it just be mounted either way ??

Thanks, All it took was a few guys to come together and decide what we wanted in a good knifegrinder.
PS Loving your damascus photos on your subforum.

Base grinder with flat platten and toolrest comes to $1500 which includes delivery.
Only thing we do not sell yet is the motor and 4" drive wheel, which must be purchased separately.
We try to push all our customers to Wayne Coe for the motor and/or VFD, and to Bossdog for the 4" drive wheel.
Thanks for the interest.
PS the grinder is attached to a hinged plate which allows it to go from Vertical to horizontal in just a few seconds.
I should have a run of steel plates made in the next few weeks as an option. Or do what I did and attach it to a plywood plate using door hinges.

I know close to NOTHING about grinders or knife making. As with a lot of people I want to and it's definitely a someday thing. Having watched this in action, I want one! That looks like a GREAT machine. If and when I ever get to the point that I have the time to devote to try out knife making I will look into your grinder for sure. Looks like a well engineered and well executed machine.

Thanks for the compliments on my grinder. I like to think I put alot of thought into the design. I tried to add everything someone would want in one
plus a few extra things.
If you are going to make it to the Blade show in a few months come by and see it, we will have a booth.

That is the first time I seen your video. Now I have to re-mount my "WILMONT" grinder to go horizontal. I have 3 grinders and the "WILMONT" grinder is the grinder that gets used the most. Good luck at the blade show.
