A Sheath and its thing

I have to laugh a little bit when I think of how I use to feel when it came time to making sheaths. Normally it wasn't just one sheath but more like 10 or 12 I had to do. And do them I did and that was it. Now I find myself building a knife and the sheath is involved with the plan of the knife.

Here's my latest. This one has a 5" O-1 blade, iron fittings, with a curly maple handle. 9 1/2" overall.

Outstanding Ray! I really like the blade design on the knife and the sheath is as unique as it is handsome. I wonder what your Nam buddies would think if they knew you took up sewing in your senior years. lol

Dear Ray,
In my way of thinking that knife is about the perfect EDC possible. Only most of us would be afraid to actually use it to spread peanut butter or cut open a grimy UPS box.

What we used to say on the ranch when I was a kid was ..."Just right!"
