View Full Version : Drop Point with Micarta handle

Here is one I just finished up for a guy at work. I gave him the blade profiled and he ground the main bevel, shaped the handle and the guard. I heat treated the blade and finished it from there. It will be a gift for his son. Sorry about the photo, the camera battery died after the first shot.

O.L. = 7"
Blade = 3" made of 0-1
Handle is micarta

Please let me know what you think.

Looks as though you both did a good job.
You said that He profiled the handle,so I guess that's the way he wanted it,but
I think I would have rounded it up a little,just seems a little square to me,
may just be the photo.Keep up the good work.

God bless,Keith

Keith, the handle is a little square, i like to round mine a little more. but it does feel pretty good in the hand though!

That's really cool on several levels. I bet your friend's son will be very happy!

I think that was a great way to introduce your friend to making knives. Good job.
