Hello!

I have too much threads these days dont i?! :D

I got these from HT today and they are planned to be mini throwing axes, from leaf springs

Would 0.02" then slack work or would i need thicker edge before sharpening?

Thanks

In my experience I'd run them considerably thicker and sharpen at a shallower angle. Throwers get really abused when you miss your target. I left the edge on the last ones at .062 (1/16) and they've held up well. That was with 1075 steel tempered at 600 degrees.

thanks a lot frank!

i sent them to HT at about 0.05 will see if i can take a bit from the edge without ruining them
