I just forged this one last week , I posted a few pics ... After using Sen ( cutting tool) to smooth out profile
Finished it up with light grinding with 220 grit . Its ready for claying and quenching . Steel is 9260 .
similar to 5160 but less chromium and more silicon . Makes for a much more flexable blade, in my Opinion .
Still quite a bit of hand work , filing to get out the wavy portions from forging ...
Will post pics during quench and after ...... Bubba
