I would expect a 1832°F Red Hot Copper Ball (RHCB) to cause more action when dropped into a cup of honey. I guess that's something I could try, but I don't have a round copper ball, but do have steel balls. (no snarky comments). I wonder if a cube of copper would work, but the sharp corners would give different cooling aspects. 1832°F is a good bit below melting point of copper at 1984°F.
