Raspy Elk

I have been seeing a lot of rasp knives lately and it got me into the mood to grab one and beat on it.

Here we have a Heller rasp that I forged into a 8 1/2" blade and then added an elk leg bone as the handle. I also gave the bone a rawhide wrap and added some brass spots. Total length is 13 3/4". Sheath is veg tanned 7-8 oz cow hide with brass tacks added.

Thanks for taking the time to view.

Terry, no one in Florida works, it's a perpetual vacation!!

Brother Wade, AWESOME!!, love the handle....I wish Terry would keep his weather so I could have some heat and beat time....

KT and Randy,
Thank you both.
I don't know if I am going to be able to get anything done today, it is in the upper 50's and I think they might even be cancelling school because of the cold.:s7435::s7435::s7435:

Wade, school was cancelled for sure tomorrow, going to be in the 30's I just heard in our parts.

Really liking the spear/dagger shape of this one. Very nice handle too!
