I pulled out the old bucket and finished one of these in a long line from the past. I bought from surplus in 1996 several car door sized sections of carbon fiber from a 767 wing panel section for 50 cents a pound. I used it for various projects in 2005 through 2008 and then dropped the water jetted pieces that were left in a bucket in the back. I more than made my money on the panels even with paying for the water jetting. I set this material as a whole aside as I don't like working with it normally. This was pure fun I guess but a nasty mess resulted.

Flatish, slightly concave finish ground to 0.375" thick carbon fiber 12" blade finished to 600 wet/dry (duh)- 18" overall. Sharpened top swedge. Kydex 'no fastener' sheath. It is 2" from widest part of edge to back.

"Air Warrior" at 8.2oz. It is practical? No WAY! Fun? Definately.
