Nitro-V Stainless Steel

Some of the blades I just had them water jet for me are Nitro-V. I haven't used it yet, so I emailed Larrin Thomas and asked if it could be heat treated the same as AEB-L, using the double quench method. He answered that it should work fine for it. He does have an article on knifesteelnerds.com about the steel.

Thanks Gene. I've been doing some research on it and it seems to be a well liked steel. Just trying to get some first hand info about it from members here. After you posted your water jet blanks from Aldo I sent in three of my own. I approved the PDF files and now just waiting on CAD work. Thanks for making that post.
