I pounded this one out from 1.25 inch W2 round bar. The blade is 275mm long and the handle is by Stefan Kellerl and it koa, buffalo horn and musk ox horn.

Laurence, it is a 50/50 with a VERY shallow hollow in the midsection of the blade. Think 6 foot diameter wheel shallow.
Mike, it is 275mm long, 50mm tall at the heel and a hair over 2.5mm thick up by the handle. Hardness is in the 62.5-63 range.

That looks nice!! The pic makes it look shorter than it is for some reason though when compared to the handle, but I can't put my finger on why?

You have a 6 ft grind stone or wheel to work on? That's sounds great for making Chisel grind knives.

LOL. No, I have a platen that has a 36 inch radius and another with an 18 inch radius.
