this is the slim version of our B3 design. Nicholson file, recurve hollow grind and dark acid etched finish. at 7.75" overall, it will practically disappear in a pocket. has sort of an evil look to it, just in time for Halloween. :biggrin:

This maybe a dumb question but if you acid etch 1084 or 1095 will it give your blade a dark appearence?
 
Oh I'm sorry I had to ask the question before I forgot.. Your knife turned out great and I agree it does make a great halloween blade.
 
thanks, the color of etch mainly depends upon what you use and how long you leave it in there. this one was done with ferric chloride for quite a while. some steel doesn't take a uniform color either. just all depends on the technique and the chemistry of the steel. that makes it fun for me. you never really know exactly how each one will look until it's done.
