Letter Opener

My grandmother picked out the handle material that belonged to my grandfather, and asked me to make her a letter opener. This is my first attempt at a double-sided design. The steel is CPM154 which is completely unnecessary for a letter opener, but it's the only stainless I had at the time. Thanks for looking.

OAL: 8″
Blade: 3 3/4″ “blade” edge, 5/32″ CPM154, Hand finished to 1000 grit
Handle: Natural stone (Petrified Wood)
Additional: Hidden pins, black fiber spacers, tooled custom leather blade cover

Nice job on that- love the petrified wood. I made one recently as a wedding present and they use it every day- gotta like that about letter openers-

Sweet Ben. I never thought about a letter opener...but why not? Good job by the way. I like the wood.
