My name is TJ Smith and I make knives as a hobby.I live outside Yakima Wa.My email is blksmith1@yahoo.com
I have been making knives since the early 1990s. My production hasn't been more than 1-2 year 5- 6 year.Fishing and Honey dos get in the way. I also like to camp and R-V. I don't want to turn knife making into a business. I did that with silver work and burnt out.
I made my first grinder and made several knives on it. Then bought a Grizzly, made several more. I now own a KMG but still use my homemade for profiling. I have made 2 forges and still use a 14 inch upright. I also have made a heat treat oven from the Plans in British blades, works very well.In addition I have a 20 ton bottle jack press that I am currently fine tuning, works fair.
I have made over a hundred knives and have a few left that I am planning on selling.
