had this hammer made today, there is a gouge of sorts in the ball part, i know i'll have to grind and sand the hammer head anyway, but any specific techniques or tips to remove that?
Drill the bad spot and fill it with a stick welder, then grind it smooth with the rest of the ball. The stick welder will give you a better puddle, a MIG may create voids as you fill the hole.
