Just registered for the forums. I am a retired NYS Investigator (after 30 years service) & am now a licensed Private Investigator. Have always kept various Swiss Army pocket knives which often came in handy. I also now own a SOG Flash 1 and SOG Flash 2. I am particularly interested in the maintaining, cleaning, and safety issues involved with assisted-open pocket knives.
 
Hey iGreg, welcome to the pack. The best advice I could offer in caring for your knife is: Don't show it to Cyrus Vance.
 
I forgot too mention I do have a third knife which I believe is in the dagger category, I do not carry-it-around since I live in NY State, and we know how concerned our politicians around here are about law-abiding citizens scaring criminals with weapons. It is a double-edged G96 from Jet-Aer Corp, made in Japan, model 7003. I've kept it under my bed for probably around the past 30 years.
