Cutting into an old oxygen tank?

I found an old oxygen tank that I can take for free that is about the perfect diameter for a gas forge. It is been sitting for many years and is completely empty I will take the valve off and everything to make absolutely sure If I treat it more less like cutting into a propane tank filling it up with water and all that good stuff will it be relatively safe to cut into?

If you can take the valve off you can then attach a hose to your car exhaust pipe then run your engine with the other end loosely into the neck of your oxygen bottle for a few minutes and the exhaust will clear any gas or fumes in the bottle.

My furnace is just fire loose bricks stacked to suit, it is ok for hobby knives.

It is the proper grinder and bandsaw I would like but it is hell of a price for a hobby.

I do not spend on my angling and shooting much nowadays though.

A old geeza has gotta do something token out of trouble. lol
