Here's a Carving set for a Customers that leaves today for a MUM's day present!

It's my 440C 9" RC 59 Carver/Slicer along with a 440A table carving fork.
I used some of Pat Ankrom's Stabilized Blue Burl & swirl Buckeye wood for these fine looking woods.
Loveless style bolts and my Rhino center pin

Now you guys remember Mom and your wife tomorrow!

Shawn,
Thanks, That Burl & swirl really does pop out on the buckeye.

The customer was very happy and was excited about giving the set to his wife that is a Professional Chef & caterer and will use it for her business.

What a nice carving set. You did an excellent job, Laurence.

Love the Buckeye Burl too. Makes the set come to life.

Steven,
Thanks for the kind words.
I have been making a few of these carving sets lately and have two orders in the works with one for a customer with Royal Pearl Kirinite. http://usaknifemaker.com/handle-mat...ite-royal-pearl-3-16-x1-5-x5-scales-pair.html

And another with Pearl Sunspot Kirinite http://usaknifemaker.com/handle-mat...e-pearl-sunspot-3-16-x1-5-x5-scales-pair.html

I will follow up with some more pics of the finished sets.

Thanks to Mikey and any others I may have missed for looking?

Mike,

Pat puts a Resin with the blue in the holes in Cal buckeye wood to give a solid and handsome handle block.
