What's going on in your shop?

Still not quite finished with this droppoint hunter yet, but I'm getting close.
I like how its coming along so far.

That is beautiful! The stacked leather / stag handle with the scandi grind - very Old World classy!

I drew this up awhile back and finally got one finished. Really happy with it. Feels amazing in the hand and I think out will be a really functional blade. Aeb-l, koa, and brass.

Speaking of which, if I liked that knife, (and I do, it would make a great rigging knife) I could look at the blade and come find you. I would even know what town to start in. That meets with my approval, and is stark contrast to maker's marks that are "written" (and I use the term loosely) in some obscure code that only they understand. A lot of makers have lost a lot of my business simply by marking their products in ways that I either couldn't read or couldn't decipher.

Okay, rant over. I believe I'll have more coffee and look at more pitchers of 'nifes.

I got the profiling done on some more stainless blades that the holes need drilled and the flats cleaned up...once these are ready for heat treat I think that will make 19 that I will send out to peters which should keep me busy for a long tim.
Then I have a large hunter Im working on that will sport Bocote scales and a hand rubbed finish.
