Mothers Day Kitchen Cutters

Mothers Day is near upon us again so I figured I'd give away a couple kitchen knives. One for my mother and one for the mother of my children.

Both blades are 1095 with experimental hamon.
The top knife is for my Mom and has a nickel silver guard and Wenge handle.

The bottom one has already seen some use in the wife's kitchen and has begun taking on some stains and patina making it even harder to get the hamon to show. It's handle is stabilized and blue dyed Zebrawood with a 416SS guard.

The handle shape on these knives are inspired by a Murray Carter knife I saw once and is loosly based on that knife as best I can recollect ;)

Nice work, Josh. They look like great all-around kitchen knives that can slice or chop. I have had a set of Sabatier cutlery (carbon steel) that I have had since 1976. The patina just gets better with age.
