A Good Deed by a Good Friend

Robert Dark got some of my first G-11 and I got to know him, I sent him a message that I wanted to visit his shop for pointers. Plus, I had some old chisels and wood lathe tools that needed some expert sharpening. ( I am waiting on Tracy's new grinder kit. ):( The chisels were brought back from Japan by my brother and he told me before passing, that they were hand forged by in early 50's or late 40's. The Craftsman wood lathe tools were given to me in 1970 by an uncle that wanted me to have his tools before he passed. Most of his tools were already 30 or 40 years old. Anyway, the next day after our visit, Robert did his good work on these. Take a gander, I could not believe how they look now, you should have seen them with all the rust and chips out of the edges. My son used to have "fun" cutting nails with them before I found out about it.

That is an heirloom quality set from all looks of it. Very kind of Mr. Dark to clean them up for you.
