AEB-L Necker in Claro Walnut

My latest Carter-inspired neck knife. AEB-L with claro walnut. Most of these are going out with leather belt sheaths lately so I should probably stop referring to them as neckers.

Here you go. Same design, only with white liners and different wood.

This one is done in Koa. This is the second of a matched pair for the same customer. He bought one for his Dad and then turned around and wanted another just like it for himself. Luckily that block of koa had just enough to get two more scales out of it so that the knives match.

thank you guys.

Ty, thank you. I usually sandwich liners on my knives (black, white, black) but on these little knives having 6 layers of liners makes the handle too thick or else I have to grind away all that pretty wood. I've gotten to where it doesn't look right to my eye without a liner to give the handle some pop. Even the black liner does...something...not necessarily pop but it does add some visual contrast that isn't there without it.

Thanks Hally. Man, you know the funny thing about those mosaic pins? Every time I buy them I say "doggone these things are expensive" but everyone who buys one of my knives remarks at how much they love the pins and it's a big attention getter.
