Made this for my boss. Its got a decent hamon, which is hard to see in the photos...of course. But it came out nice. The Koa I brought back from a trip to the big island a while ago.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks! I put about 10 coats of CA glue on there, sand it back, do it again and then sand it out to 1200 and then buff. Its like glass. I know that most don't like the slick handle thing, but its the best way I've been able to make the wood show everything its got in it. That curly Koa just pops.

Great looking scales. What finish do you have on these?

Some kind of, SICK BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Awesome Work! I love seeing people use materials that would normally be ignored, this white Koa is awesome!!!
I have a piece of Koa that the edge figure is better looking than the curl in the Koa, to me anyway! It just has a lot
of movement, it looks like a ladder pattern type of look, absolutely beautiful!
Great WORK!

Thanks man!! Yeah, any koa is good koa to me. Turns out, my Principal (my boss) loved it, as he spent tons of time in Hawaii. As soon as he saw it, he yelled, "Look at that Koa!!" I had no idea he had spent time there. It was pretty cool. He loved it.

Thanks again!!
