Some new video footage....

The press runs off a 4cyl, 39hp, Kubota diesel engine, with a pump of approx 14gpm (the pump is Canadian and is marked in liters.... 53 liters per min).

Initially I had intentions of running the press with an electric motor, but literally didn't have the power requirements in my shop to run a 22hp electric motor (that would have been the minimum hp in an electric motor to operate the press). It's actually kinda nice with the diesel....the power unit sits outside the shop, under an overhang, with the hoses plumbed in through the wall and to the press..... when it's running, you can hear what sounds like a skid steer loader outside, but it's fairly quiet inside. :) About the only drawback is having to go to the local farm Co-Op, and hauling 5 gallon cans of dyed diesel. :)
