W2 hunter

I love it when I get an order for a knife and have just a few suggestions and a budget, so I'm free to make the knife however I like within boundaries. This one was an order like that. Ended up with a forged W2 hunter with a hamon, plum browned mild steel fittings with a few stainless accents, and a mortised sheep horn coffin handle. I think Robert will be pleased with it. It'll get a chance to visit Caleb Royer for some glamour shots as well.

That is awesome! I love coffin handle's and the horn really gives it a unique look!

Nice job!

No coating other than the plum brown so far, Brad. I typically oil them up good initially, then a week or so later coat them in RenWax. Regarding the handle material, it's just run-of-the-mill sheep horn. I can't remember where I got it, but I think it came from K and G at ICCE last year.
