DLC Coated Kitchen Knife

I've been working on a kitchen knife for my sister and here are the results:

5160 steel blade - tempered at 375F(190C)
Double layer handle scales - Aluminum & Acrylic
DLC coating to prevent oxidation, scratches and because its dark color looks pretty good to me!

Let me know what you guys think!

Very cool. I had looked into DLC for some of my recent folders; but, while praised for it's abrasion-resistance, I had heard that this coating does very little to mitigate rust/corrosion. In ended up going with a graphite-black Cerakote from a small shop down the street from my office.
I am interested to hear how the DLC holds up over time when subjected to kitchen tasks.
