Pixie Smithy

… My smithy had a baby! :)

I put this portable mini smithy together for a forging demo I’m doing at a survival rendezvous in April. It’s powered by a weed burner… too much fun!

Now that I have it, I should start getting out more to similar types of events. Just throw it all in the back of my truck and there's still room for my camping gear... That's all I really need,... well, *it*,... my knee pads and some pain pills. LOL

... Forging up to 3/4 inch square stock, no problem...

Thanks Rusty.

It is awesome,... but I can't tell whether, it's a boy or a girl! LOL

... I don't care, I'll take my smithy's babies any way I can get them. I love them all! :)

Well, it's got a bick, so I'd say it's a boy. :3:

Very cool, Tai! I've seen other folks posting you at an event or two lately. Glad to hear you're going to get out and about some more.

You ought to get on Instagram so I can more easily see what you're up to! :)

... If anyone wants to come and see the Pixie Smithy in action, here's the schedule for the survival rendezvous as it stands. I've asked them not to change my time slot and am making travel arrangements etc., accordingly.

It's going to be at Superstition Farm (on Hawes between Guadalupe and Elliot in Mesa, AZ) April 2 & 3. There is an entry fee of $5 for adults and under 16 years it's $2.50. Class tickets for students (16+ years) are $10 each, or $30 for the day (4 classes).

Thanks Walt.

The turn out at the rendezvous wasn't so good,... but here's a little clip that wound up on youtube.

Is a bummer the ronneyvooo was a small turn out. I enjoy seeing your work and wanted to say each simple sharp art is making the urge to get a forge going to reuse some of my scrap/drop from my knives.
