Sending koa out for stabilizing?

I recently came into some kiln dried koa that is coming straight over from the big island. I'm wanting to know if there is anything I should or shouldn't do, its pretty dang dry in MO right now. Should I ship them to KandG as fast as I can?

Thanks

Its ok to send it as long as it is indeed dry. IIRC they told me that moisture should be at or below 8%. They will check it before processing it. You can also take it to a local cabinet shop, they usually have a moisture meter to check for sure.

I have a lot of natural Koa sitting in the garage. No signs of cracking or checking.

Some guys like using Koa natural with a good properly applied Tru-Oil finish. I personally like it stabilized. I use K&G for all my stabilizing. I've used it both ways and even a block done in Cactus Juice. I prefer the finish and ease of finish with the stabilized koa
