Rookies Adventure in AEB-L Kitchen Knives

Well has been a bit chaotic around camp since were in the works for buying a new home.
Here is the last of the pair of paring knives I am working on, and what its progressed too.
Am using one of the oak scales I got from Smithy for the handle.

Here is an almost finished shot of the handle progress.
Is at 600 grit here an has some small voids I am going to try an fill while wet sanding with danish oil.
Tomorrow should be a pic of the final version before it goes to a co workers home.

So I didn't get a pic of the satin finished blade before it went to the new owner. Had the typical rookie screw up on rounding off the plunges from rushing to grind it. Was a gift and a learning experience.
Still a long ways to go.

What? How'd you forget to get a pic? With my forgetfulness and rushing around, I've left off the serial # on the last blades. I had decided I would number every knife a while back, and I do it before heat treat with stamps. Two in a row now, I've forgot!
