Elk Skinner (also first Hamon)

Made this for an upcoming hunt. I had posted earlier pictures in the HT thread, but now that its done, thought I'd share it here as well.
Blade is 1075, stainless bolsters and pins. The handle is coolibah burl. This is my first official hamon as well. I tried once before and the blade cracked on quench(I learned my lesson with water, and got some parks 50). Hopefully I didnt jinx myself out of an elk by making it. Ill find out in 3 weeks. :)

AHHHH, no elk... we got close, but not close enough for a bow. Had it been rifle season, well, then we'd be munching on some elk jerky. Next year!
 
Would have been nice for you to be able test out the new blade. But if you had a good time with friends or family, then it was successful hunt.
