last year at the PKA show, my booth was next to John Bartlow, so naturally I spent most of the weekend drooling over his pieces, as they are amazing. He challenged me to try tapered tang style pieces, so that is almost all I have been doing this year (PKA show is almost upon us again) besides a few folders and hidden tang pieces, I have been practicing tapered tangs. Due to a brain fart, I got too thin of stock so I have been holding off on doing hollow grinds, which I will focus on for my next batch. These are some new ones that I just came in to work on sheaths for, and while I wait for glue to dry, here are some pictures!

this first one is N690 SS with dyed fiddleback maple handle

this second one is N690 SS and spalted pecan

These two are N960 SS and thunderstorm kevlar, my first time working the material!

This one is N690 SS and forest green G10. The back pin is a little close to the front, unfortunately. An oversight I won't make again

Thanks guys! The pecan is a lot softer than i thought it would be. but it looks pretty rad! i dont think the pictures do the mple one justice, it is a lot more deep and lusterous in person

I'm sure. As good as it looks in the pics, I'll bet in person that maple would knock your eyes out.
