My first fighter style blade

Jaeco Knives

I started making knives back in December 14' and haven't made one like this yet. Mostly just hunters and utility style blades. I know a lot of makers are their own worst critic but I am super pleased with how this knife turned out.
  • OAL 10"
  • 1/8" width
  • Blade length 5.25"
  • 1084 with a 56 rC
  • Stabilized maple burl with black G10 liners and 1/4" stainless corbys
  • Flat grind
  • 20 degree edge (which wasn't as difficult to sharpen as I assumed it may be)

Comments and critiques welcome. Only looking to improve the craft. I left my job as a machinist 2 months ago to make a go as a custom knife maker. So far so good, thankfully. It's nice not punching a clock or having to work for "the man".

No joke. Thanks man. The buyer wanted a fighter style blade for their soon-to-be 13 year old son. He's going on a back packing trip with him for his birthday and wants to give this knife to him then as an entrance to manhood type weekend. I thought it was a cool idea. The theme being, "the only person that can fight for your life is you". That'll preach.
