Doing Your First Show

I think that I have seen somethings about this but the search came up dry. Anyway I have done some church stuff and manage to sell one blade and about 25 three dollar blades. Never done a gun/knife show. Anyway if one could give a link or some do's and don'ts it would be a great help.
Is a credit card machine a must? Not doing but one or two shows a year is it worth it to have one? I have heard the "have a bowl of peppermints on your table", I thought that may be something to do to the newbies so they could be spotted a preyed upon!!
I have been a musician for a long time(3 tons of gear each night in and back out) so setting up a cool booth is not a problem, so would camo net and taxidermy animal with a knife stuck in it make people and other vendors mad. Thanks, David Mc.

There are a couple of good threads on this topic in the "knife business" forum, likely on page 3 or 4.
