To engine turn or not? It was left up to me as to how to do this entire project. I will engrave two names into the scales when they are finished. I'm trying to decide if I should engine turn these or just polish them.....opinions?

Repurpose/restore? Someone contacted me to fix up their grandfathers broken straight razor. It was snapped in half. They wanted a friction folder. So, this is the almost final product. Hidden magnetic stop pin. I like this thing. He wants it as an heirloom, not as something he will carry everyday and whittle with.

I would LOVE to have that problem, I keep dreaming of one of them. what brand ect is it? Ed

Thanks Ed. It's a Craftex CX600. There would be a similar Grizzly model as I think they are all made in the same place. I have some milling books on the way and have been watching some videos. My first project is going to be a Lanny's Clip. I saw some pics and watched some videos on this knife and really took a shine to it. A fellow member here was kind enough to share his plan with me so I have a good pattern to follow. After I get my feet wet I want to make some lock backs.

Cool work Guys!

I just have some rather random weekend pictures:

Favorite: For user-friendliness I like the top one. For "Wow!" factor I like the third one. I'm anxious to see how you contour the handle to "soften" those sharp handle corners in the hand.

Knocking out some pens, too?

That's pretty much how I feel about them! The bottom one in definitely going to be a highly contoured handle.(with a clip grind)

Yeah, I make pens every now and then. They make for nice gifts and such.

Just finished the jig for my new Bruce Bump file guide. I need to hurry up and decide what my next knife project is going to be so I can actually use it!
