What's going on in your shop?

Oh man my back hurts, my knee hurts and my fingers ache from moving but we are in the new house!
Sorry for the light flare my lens is cracked on my phone camera

Congrats Justin - is that a HVAC ductwork I see? That's going to be NICE - warm in winter, cool in summer:)

That looks like it could be a great knife shop! The convenience of being right in the house like that would be nice. My shop is downhill about 150 yards away through the woods from home. I'd rather have this setup for knife making. Just don't let the wife encroach!

Yes its going to be nice year round. I'm going to Sheetrock it and put up a wall to keep dust out of the rest of the house. Most of my grinding and hot work will be outside.
Chris come on over!

...

I've been concentrating on getting my folder mojo better.

.125" S35vn blade, .09" Ti liners, thumbshredder thumb stud, 8-64" pivot stainless disc pivot head (with bushing) rounded over, all blasted and dripped in Caswell stainless blackening.
Peel ply coarse g10 in .125" with CF pocket clip. The counterbore wallowed out bigger than it should have for the pivot head. I'll do it differently on the next one and tighten that up.

I haven't been around in a while but hopefully I will have time to get back to it. This is a paring knife I finished

Is a definate that we all are taking time away from blades. Lol not a big fan of the krinite but thats some pretty stuff there.
Daniel that looks like a sweet simple tool with a little flair. Is a different tip than I am used to seeing on a paring knife.
Coach what is the scales in the first pic? The others look to be timascus?

I'm personally not a fan of synthetic handles, but I'm all for what sells. Some people go gaga for micarta and kirinite, and so I'm all for providing it to them. Client picked the handle material.

Excuse the cell phone pics. Had to get it mailed out asap.

True feelings here as well but in some enviroments wood or antler will just be destroyed due to the abuse or abrasive/acidic enviroment. A buddy of mine works in the cogen/hog at a mill so he deals with wood ash and soot but wants a edc cutter to survive in that enviroment. Made him a edc with mykarta and AEBL for the blade. Will see how it works, have to make the sheath now. Kydex w a large drain hole.
