Elk Tine Bowie

I would like to thank DeMo/Dennis for the elk tine he sent me. He told me that it would work well with my style and I have to agree it is perfect.
The blade was forged from a 1" round bar of W1 that was 7" long. The guard is from a wrought iron anchor chain. The blade length from tip to guard is 8" and the total length is 13 1/2".
The sheath is beaver tail inlaid made for me by my good friend KT.

That is absolutely beautiful. When I held that elk piece in my hand and closed my eyes - that is pretty much what I pictured the finished knife would look like. I knew I sent it to the right place. You did that elk a great justice by putting him on that knife. Great job and nice pictures.

Wade, I somehow missed this. It is a great knife. I love the blade shape (reminds me of the kind of knives I wanted to make when I decided to learn how to forge, it just has something, "right," about it).

The elk tine looks good with the blade, too. The sheath sets it all off.

cool.
